# PlotDirector Name Intelligence reference data v1.0.0

Production-candidate global reference package for deterministic name recognition, ranking and relationship evidence in PlotDirector.
|
||
|
||

- 3,067 recognised given-name forms.
|
||
- 525 curated short-form, diminutive, nickname, spelling-variant and alternative-form relationships.
|
||
- 92,010 usage profiles: every name × six locales × five inclusive birth-era bands.
|
||
- Direct registration-derived profiles for the United States and United Kingdom; explicitly labelled blended estimates for Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
|
||
|
||
## Non-negotiable semantics
|
||
|
||
This library is **positive evidence, not a whitelist**. Missing names remain eligible for character detection through manuscript evidence. Gender values are priors, not character facts. Relationships generate candidates and continuity warnings; they never auto-merge characters. Existing project-specific `CharacterAliases` remain untouched and authoritative for that project.

||
|
||
## Import order
|
||
|
||
1. `name_locales.csv`
|
||
2. `given_names.csv`
|
||
3. `name_relationships.csv`
|
||
4. `name_usages.csv`
|
||
|
||
Upsert using the stable string keys, optionally resolving them to application surrogate keys. Never use CSV row order as identity.
|
||
|
||
## Review and validation
|
||
|
||
Start with `REVIEW.md` and the three `review_sample_*.csv` files. `validation_report.json` records the full structural validation result. See `DATA_CONTRACT.md`, `METHODOLOGY.md`, and `VALIDATION.md` before implementation.
